Terms of Service

1Who can use Lumecast

You must be at least 17 years old. You must provide a truthful date of birth at sign-up. Accounts belonging to people under 17 will be removed.

2Your account

You sign in with a one-time code sent to your email or phone. You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping access to your email or phone number secure. Usernames are first-come, first-served and may be reclaimed if impersonating a person or brand.

3Your content and conduct

You own the content you broadcast and post. You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free licence to transmit, display, and store it as needed to operate the service.

Community guidelines — you agree not to broadcast, post, or send:

• harassment, bullying, hate, or threats;
• nudity or sexually explicit content;
• violence, self-harm, or dangerous activity;
• spam, scams, or deceptive behaviour;
• content that infringes others' rights or breaks the law;
• anyone's private information without their consent.

4Lux (virtual currency)

• Lux is purchased through Apple or Google in-app purchase and is licensed to you, not owned: it has no cash value, is non-refundable, and is non-transferable between accounts.
• Lux can only be spent inside Lumecast (for example on gifts).
• Purchases are entertainment spending, not deposits, investments, or donations. Refund requests for accidental purchases are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies.
• We may change Lux pack sizes and pricing; changes never reduce a balance you already hold.

5Creator earnings and payouts

• Gifts received convert to earnings at the rate published for your creator level at the time the gift is received. Accrued earnings are honoured at the rate in effect when earned; rates and levels may change with notice.
• Payouts require a minimum balance of US$100, are paid monthly approximately 30 days in arrears, and are processed by Stripe, which requires identity verification and being at least 18 years old. Earnings accrued before 18 are held until payout eligibility.
• We may withhold or void earnings connected to fraud, refunded or charged-back purchases, artificial engagement, or guideline violations.
• Earnings and payouts are managed through the creator dashboard at lumecast.app/creator, not within the iOS app.
• Lumecast covers standard payout processing fees. Your bank may apply its own currency-conversion charges.

6Our service

Lumecast is provided "as is". Live streams are real-time and we don't guarantee availability, quality, or that any content will be preserved. We may change or discontinue features. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before a claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable consumer protection laws.

7Termination

You can delete your account at any time in the app (Profile → Settings). We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Unspent Lux is forfeited when an account is terminated for violations; on voluntary deletion, contact support about any outstanding creator earnings.

8Changes to these terms

We'll update these terms as the service evolves and note the effective date above. Material changes will be announced in the app; continued use after changes means acceptance.

9Governing law and contact
